Job Overview:

The Junior Graphic Designer will be directly involved in the design and development of packaging for our LED lighting products, as well as a wide variety of supporting creative assets. You’re an innovative thinker who enjoys tackling new challenges, bringing fresh ideas, and translating complex problems into clear, effective design solutions. You’ll collaborate with a dynamic team that includes another graphic designer, two industrial designers, an occasional intern, and a product team manager. Our environment emphasizes both creativity and collaboration, encouraging knowledge-sharing while maintaining high standards of product quality and user experience.

You’ll contribute to the creation of assets across multiple areas, including product packaging, marketing materials, presentations, digital advertising, product catalog updates, and social media graphics. You’ll also have the opportunity to take ownership of select projects, growing your design skills in a fun, fast-paced, and experimental environment.

Job Duties:

  • Apply artwork to existing packaging dielines and layouts to create production-ready files; experience creating dielines is a plus.
  • Lead selected design projects from concept through completion, while supporting team initiatives on larger projects and packaging rollouts.
  • Create and edit graphics across multiple mediums, including product packaging, digital marketing, print materials, presentations, catalogs, and social media.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all designs while experimenting with new approaches to evolve the Brightz visual identity.
  • Review copy, layouts, and pre-production files for accuracy, alignment, and quality.
  • Collaborate closely with the product manager and designers to translate packaging concepts into engaging visual assets.
  • Manage multiple deadlines, balancing immediate needs with long-term priorities, while maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Art, or related field (required).
  • Portfolio or link to completed work (required).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including: Adobe Illustrator (vector artwork, packaging layout), Adobe InDesign (catalogs, presentations, and print materials), Adobe Photoshop (image editing, mockups, photo adjustments).
  • Understanding of packaging basics, including placing artwork on dielines and layouts (bonus if experienced in creating dielines).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Experience working within brand guidelines and standards along with print and digital product practices.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects based on immediate need and project importance.
  • Adaptability, eagerness to learn, and openness to feedback.
  • Knowledge of basic photography and/or videography preferred.

Compensation and Benefit Details:

  • $50,000 starting annual salary.
