Junior Interior Designer

Overview
The Junior Interior Designer will support Senior and Principal Designers through all project phases. This role is ideal for someone with strong foundational design skills who is growing in independence and responsibility. The ideal candidate has an eye for detail, familiarity with the design process, and an eagerness to collaborate. This is a full-time, in-person position in Carlsbad, CA.

Duties

• Support design direction for assigned rooms or spaces under Senior Designer guidance.
• Prepare floor plans, elevations, design boards, and selections.
• Source finishes, furnishings, and styling pieces according to the established aesthetic.
• Maintain design documentation and update specs as needed.
• Assist with styling installations, and photoshoots.
• Attend meetings and take notes, as needed, to follow up on design action items.
• Maintain Asana task updates and flag any issues or questions to Senior or Principal Designers.
• Improve technical skills with guidance and mentorship.
• Remain up to date with project edits, site conditions, and studio standards.
• Contribute positively to studio culture and collaborate with the broader team.

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience in residential or interior design field.
• Clear, concise communicator.
• Comfortable using project management software (Houzz Pro, Asana preferred).
• Quick to learn new processes and tools.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Calm and resourceful under pressure.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
