Junior Interior Designer

Our ideal candidate for this position has an outgoing can do attitude, and is eager to jump in and support the Principal designer and studio in a variety of design and administrative functions. Must be detailed, meticulously organized, creative, and passionate about growing with a mission-driven design studio.

RESPONSIBILITIES

-Finish & Material Schedules and Matrices.
-Coordinate with vendors for quotes, reserves, and specifications.
-Furniture and material budgets, proposals/invoices, purchase orders, specification sheets, procurement, tracking, and delivery/installation coordination.
-Product research and inspired sourcing of furnishings, lighting, accessories, fixtures, finishes, and material options.
-Maintain work room and sample library, schedule and meet with vendors.
-Sample orders/returns, minor shipping and receiving.
-Prepare for client meetings and presentations.
-Maintain project binders and electronic records.
-General organizational and administrative tasks.
-Miscellaneous errands.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

-Applicants must demonstrate professional proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp and include portfolio samples of technical drawings.
-Ability to work independently.
-Knowledge of all basic office technology and equipment including Google Drive
-Unwavering attention to detail.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Must be a self-starter, highly competent in a variety of areas, and self-sufficient, with minimal need for supervision.
-Energetic, passionate, focused, and passionate about helping our studio grow.
-Highly organized with strong multitasking abilities and confidence in managing tasks in a quickly evolving environment.
-Ability to learn and grow in high pressure situations.
-Valid Driver's License, reliable car, and car insurance required to run errands and pick up/return items.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
