Role Description

We are seeking an experienced designer who is highly detail oriented, organized, and stylish. This is a full-time in office role located in Danville, CA for a Junior Interior Designer. The Junior will be responsible for assisting in space planning, creating construction drawings, selecting and specifying furnishings, finishes, and equipment (FF&E), and supporting the Senior Designer and Principal. Daily tasks will include collaborating with the design team, meeting with clients, site visits, showroom sourcing, creating detailed material schedules, maintaining and organizing library and office, and ensuring design projects are well documented, completed on time and within budget. This is a fantastic opportunity for local talent to work in a beautiful studio downtown.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years of experience working for a full service residential design firm.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp - minimum of 3 years experience
• Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred, not required.
• Attention to detail and a passion for design
• Proficiency in space planning, construction drawings, hard and soft goods materials, trade only manufacturers
• Knowledge of Architecture and Construction Drawings
• Experience with FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) selection and specification
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with the design team, and have the flexibility to support each member with a wide range of tasks
