Chantal Lamberto Interior Design, a boutique residential full-service Interior Design firm, is currently seeking a Junior Interior Designer that is highly motivated, detail oriented, and well organized self-starter to join our team. Candidates will have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Interior Design, be proficient in AutoCAD, and have a passion for design. This is a dynamic and integral role in a small team.
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate on all phases of the design process
- Prepare detailed drawings of floor plans, kitchen, and bath elevations using AutoCad
- Prepare client proposals and purchase orders using Studio Designer
- Communicate with vendors re: orders and customization
- Site visits for meetings and to oversee client deliveries and installs
- Source materials, finishes, and furnishings for specification
- Preparing materials and visuals for meetings
- Assist with follow-up meeting procedures: generate meeting notes, identifying action items.
- Prepare and present client-facing materials, including drawings, mood boards, material flat lays, and visual presentations.
- Interface with clients, contractors, and vendors
- Vendor inspections and job site meetings
- Must have high standards for accuracy and timeliness
Qualifications:
- This is a full time position in office
- Must be proficient with AutoCAD, Google Workspace, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Minimum 1-2 years in residential interior design; experience with extensive renovations, new builds and familiarity on a construction site.
- Interior Design Degree
- Strong communication skills and sense of diplomacy with client and vendor relations
- Must be polished and professional in presentation
- Must have excellent problem solving skills, a proactive approach, and be self-motivated
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Must have a positive attitude, high-energy, and enjoy collaboration with a team
- Must have reliable car with valid California driver’s license and evidence of insurance
- Must be passionate and well versed in design
