Junior Interior Designer

Oakline Studio is looking for a professional, organized and self-motivated Junior Interior Designer who has 1-5 years minimum of design experience and who can thrive in an intimate, but very fast-growing firm. Candidate must be good at multi-tasking, organized, energetic, eager to learn, and also be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. The Junior Interior Designer will contribute to the success of the firm by assisting with all aspects of design.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design support: contributing to design ideas and concepts for projects, material & product research & selection, & client presentations.
• Team collaboration: working with project teams, engineers, and consultants to coordinate designs.
• Site analysis & visits: participating in site evaluations and observing construction progress to ensure compliance with drawings.
• Drafting and modeling: preparing 2d drawings and 3d renderings for design development.
• Technical documentation: assisting with construction documents.
• Project administration: preparing presentation packages, managing project documents, and supporting client communications.
  
  
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in interior design, design school or equivalent experience.
• 1-5 years of design experience
• Proficient in AutoCad, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience selecting and specifying lighting, furnishings, hardware, floor/window coverings, materials and finishes.
• Excellent attention to detail and highly organized
• Ability to multi-task; meet deadlines and is eager to learn and grow with firm
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
