Junior MEP Coordinator – GCI Contracting (under LEOS Developments)

GCI Contracting (under LEOS Developments) is actively seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior MEP Coordinator to support our MEP operations across villa and mid-rise building projects in the UAE.

The ideal candidate must be an Engineering graduate with 2–6 years of experience working in MEP coordination, preferably within a contracting or construction company in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in coordinating MEP activities (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting & ELV) across project sites.
• Review basic MEP shop drawings, coordinated layouts, and builder’s work drawings under guidance from senior engineers.
• Support the coordination between subcontractors, consultants, and internal site teams to resolve technical and design issues.
• Assist in the preparation, submission, and follow-up of drawings, materials, method statements, and technical documentation.
• Monitor site installation activities to ensure alignment with approved drawings and project specifications.
• Update logs for drawings, submittals, RFIs, MIRs, WIRs, and other project records.
• Coordinate with civil and architectural teams for provisions such as sleeves, openings, and supports.
• Verify material deliveries against approved submittals.
• Support testing & commissioning activities and assist in system handover documentation.
• Assist in arranging authority inspections and approvals (DEWA, DCD, DM, DDA, etc.).
• Prepare weekly progress summaries and status updates.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Solid understanding of MEP services and basic construction coordination.
• Knowledge of UAE authority requirements is an advantage.
• Good communication and teamwork skills to support senior staff and subcontractors.
• Strong documentation and follow-up capabilities.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office; familiarity with Navisworks/BIM is a plus.
• Ability to learn quickly, multitask, and work under pressure.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
