Junior Proposal Specialist

We are looking for a Junior Proposal Engineer (Civil) with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our growing team and support the delivery of high-quality proposals for marine and coastal projects.

This role is ideal for candidates with a strong interest in estimation, tendering, and marine construction, looking to grow within a dynamic and technically driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist in the preparation of technical and commercial proposals

· Review tender documents, drawings, and technical specifications

· Perform quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, and cost estimation

· Coordinate with internal departments including engineering, procurement, and finance

· Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for quotations and technical clarifications

· Support preparation of method statements, technical submissions, and compliance documents

· Review and assist with AutoCAD drawings and basic drafting

· Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant submission of bids

· Maintain organized records of proposals, cost data, and vendor/subcontractor quotations

Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

· Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in proposals/estimation/tendering

· Exposure to marine or coastal projects will be an advantage

· Knowledge of quantity take-off and basic cost estimation principles

· Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

· Working knowledge of AutoCAD

· Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines

Preferred Skills

· Understanding of marine works (revetments, breakwaters, groynes, dredging, beach nourishment, shoreline protection and marinas)

· Experience in quantity take-off from drawings and BOQ preparation for marine/civil works

· Experience in procurement coordination, vendor sourcing, and subcontractor management

· Strong skills in document formatting, proposal structuring, and technical writing

· Ability to interpret engineering drawings, IFC drawings, and project specifications

· Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

· Proactive attitude with the ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines effectively
