Core Responsibilities
- Supplier Management and Negotiation: Identifying, evaluating, and qualifying potential suppliers and vendors (both local and potentially international for materials/components). Negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure the best value for quality and cost.
- Purchase Order Management: Preparing, processing, and tracking purchase orders and related documentation in compliance with company policies.
- Logistics and Inventory Coordination: Monitoring stock levels, tracking order status, and coordinating delivery schedules with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely receipt of materials and avoid delays.
- Cost Management and Analysis: Conducting market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and implementing cost reduction initiatives. Analyzing spending patterns and ensuring procurement activities stay within budget.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring that purchased goods and services meet the required quality standards and specifications, and resolving any issues or discrepancies with suppliers.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with various departments (e.g., operations, finance, engineering) to understand procurement needs and align purchasing strategies with organizational objectives.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Typically 1+year of experience in procurement or a related field is preferred, especially within a relevant industry like Engineering.Candidates from other fields can also apply.
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for managing vendor relationships and collaborating with internal stakeholders.
