Job Description – Purchase Manager

Position: Junior Purchase Executive
Department: Procurement & Supply Chain
Location: Pik N Go Restaurant
Reports to: Director / General Manager

Role Summary:

The Purchase Manager is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring all materials, ingredients, equipment, and services required for Pik N Go Restaurant. The role ensures timely availability of quality products at competitive prices while maintaining vendor relationships and supporting cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors for food, beverages, consumables, and equipment.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
  • Ensure timely procurement of goods and services as per restaurant requirements.
  • Monitor market trends, new products, and price fluctuations to optimize purchasing decisions.
  • Coordinate with the Store Incharge and Head Chef for daily and weekly requirements.
  • Implement purchase planning to avoid shortages, overstocking, and wastage.
  • Maintain proper purchase records, bills, and documentation for audit and accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with FSSAI standards, food safety guidelines, and vendor certifications.
  • Track vendor performance in terms of quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.
  • Work closely with the accounts team for payments and reconciliation.
  • Support cost control initiatives and contribute to profitability improvement.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Knowledge of food & beverage products, equipment, and restaurant industry requirements.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and decision-making ability.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and inventory/purchase software.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate in Supply Chain Management, Hotel Management, or Business Administration preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in procurement, with at least 2 years in F&B/restaurant/hospitality industry.

Working Hours:

As per restaurant operations and procurement needs, including weekends if required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
