Junior Regional Trade Support Officer (Temporary for 9 months)

Purpose:


Handle the daily trade processing for equities and ensure that the services offered from external service providers meet the trade processing standards.


Responsibilities:


  1. Handle all aspects of equity trades including liquidity trade processing, settlement and fail investigations.
  2. Monitor the automated electronic trade confirmation process and systems; with attention to ‘straight through’ processing of trades and daily matching of trade confirmations.
  3. Pre-match and settle all equity trades in a timely and accurate manner.
  4. Liaise with the settlements team and the custodian banks regarding all equity settlements and outstanding trades.
  5. Liaise between the firm’s client’s global trading desks, execute and clear counterparties (including prime brokers) regarding trade discrepancies.
  6. Resolute unmatched trades, trade fails and related settlements issues with the clients.
  7. Maintain global handover spreadsheet which identifies open issues and items which need immediate attention.
  8. Review unmatched trade reports to ensure timely settlement.
  9. Inform NDVP clients about their entitlement for right issues.
  10. Proceed with Cash Transfer Requests to the Finance team and follow up on it
  11. Investigate, follow-up, resolve and document all trade queries and failing settlements.
  12. Provide the settlements team with the clients’ feedback on outstanding trades.
  13. Respond to clients’ queries regarding outstanding trades.
  14. Update the clients with Markets regulation changes, and important announcements.
  15. Provide the data entry team with settlements details of new sub-accounts.
  16. Ensure compliance with all applicable AML/CTF rules and regulations as required in the conduct of the role.
  17. Ensure timely completion of all relevant AML/CTF training provided by the Group.
  18. Ensure response to AML, CTF & sanctions inquiries in a timely manner.


Job Requirements:


  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. 0–1 year of experience in financial services, brokerage operations, or back‑office trade support.
  3. Customer service oriented.
  4. Good command of Arabic and English.
  5. Good communication skills (written, verbal and listening).
  6. Able to build partnerships and work well in teams.
  7. Can identify problems and refer/escalate complex issues to a higher level.
  8. Ensure deliverable are always of a high quality.
  9. Multi-tasker, with the ability to meet changing deadlines.
  10. Ensure deliverables are always of a high quality.
  11. Can manage pressure and conflicting demands and prioritise tasks and workload.
