Junior Shopify Developer

Subsidized MealsWe’re seeking a technically skilled Junior Shopify Developer to build, enhance, and maintain high-performing Shopify stores. You’ll collaborate closely with our design, product, and marketing teams to deliver engaging, conversion-driven e-commerce experiences.

This position is ideal for someone with hands-on Shopify experience who’s eager to grow into a full-stack e-commerce developer, exploring the latest Shopify features, APIs, and performance optimization techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3/SASS, JavaScript (ES6+), and JSON.
• Convert Figma/XD/Sketch designs into responsive, pixel-perfect Shopify themes.
• Integrate and configure third-party and custom Shopify apps, APIs, and services (e.g., Klaviyo, ReCharge, Yotpo, Gorgias).
• Work with Shopify REST and GraphQL APIs for dynamic data handling and custom functionality.
• Optimize site speed, performance, and Lighthouse scores through efficient coding and asset management.
• Ensure cross-browser, mobile-first, and accessibility-compliant front-end experiences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, marketing, product) to deliver seamless e-commerce solutions.
• Conduct QA testing, bug fixing, and version control using Git/GitHub.
• Assist in implementing conversion rate optimization (CRO) and UX/UI enhancements.
• Stay up to date with the latest Shopify platform updates, Hydrogen/Remix, and e-commerce trends.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 years of professional experience developing and customizing Shopify stores.
• Strong command of Liquid, HTML5, CSS3/SASS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Familiarity with Shopify Theme 2.0, Shopify CLI, and JSON templates.
• Experience with Shopify APIs, version control systems, and collaborative workflows.
• Good understanding of responsive design, performance optimization, and SEO fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

Nice-to-Have:

• Exposure to Shopify Plus, Hydrogen, or headless commerce setups.
• Working knowledge of React.js, Next.js, or Node.js for custom integrations.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, staging, and deployment workflows.
• Experience with analytics and tracking tools (GA4, GTM, Meta Pixel).
• Comfort working with design files from Figma, XD, or Sketch.
