We are a growing CPA firm specializing in tax preparation, tax planning, and advisory services for high net worth individuals and closely held businesses. Our clients include Bay Area tech executives, business owners, real estate investors, and professionals with complex tax and accounting needs.

We are looking for a highly organized, ambitious, and technology savvy Junior Tax & Accounting Associate who is eager to learn, grow, and build a long term career in public accounting.

This is a fully remote position with significant opportunities for professional development and advancement within the firm.

Position Overview

This is an entry level position that combines administrative support, client service, data entry, and basic tax and accounting functions.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented, dependable, comfortable with technology, and excited about learning tax and accounting concepts. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates professionally, and wants to grow into larger responsibilities over time.

The ideal candidate views this role as the beginning of a career path in tax and accounting, not simply an administrative position.

This is not a position for someone looking to remain in a purely administrative role. We are seeking an individual who is motivated to develop their skills and advance within the firm.

Responsibilities

• Data entry and organization of client information
• Managing client documents and workflows
• Assisting with tax return assembly and processing
• Email communication with clients and team members
• Monitoring and updating workflow systems
• Administrative support for tax and accounting engagements
• Preparing engagement letters and other client correspondence
• Assisting with bookkeeping and accounting projects
• Maintaining accurate client records and files
• Supporting the tax team during busy season
• Learning and developing tax and accounting knowledge

Technical Skills

Preferred qualifications include experience with:

• Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Google Workspace
• TaxDome or similar practice management software
• Adobe Acrobat
• Cloud based applications and technology platforms

Candidates should be highly comfortable with computers, technology, and learning new software systems.

Education and Experience

• Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Prior administrative, bookkeeping, tax, or accounting experience is a plus
• Basic understanding of accounting and tax concepts preferred
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply

• Base salary: Up to $48,000 per year
