Junior Web Developer (Fresher) – Website Management Overview

We are looking for a motivated Junior Web Developer (Fresher) who is eager to learn and grow in web development and website management. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of PHP and .NET concepts, Git, and CMS platforms such as WordPress (PHP) and Umbraco (.NET).

This role is suitable for someone starting their career who wants hands-on experience in website development, content management, SEO updates, and working closely with the marketing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in developing and maintaining websites using PHP and CMS platforms like WordPress (PHP) and Umbraco (.NET).
• Support website content updates such as adding pages, blog posts, images, and media.
• Manage blog publishing, formatting, and updating SEO keywords.
• Work closely with the marketing team to update website content, landing pages, and campaigns.
• Use Git for version control and collaborate with developers using Git workflows (branching, pull requests).
• Assist with plugin/module installation and configuration in WordPress and Umbraco.
• Help with theme/template updates and styling changes.
• Debug basic front-end and back-end issues.
• Write clean and well-documented code.
• Maintain proper documentation for website updates and changes.
• Report progress and issues to the Senior Developer.

REQUIREMENTS

• Basic understanding of PHP (variables, functions, arrays, form handling).
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Basic experience with WordPress CMS (content editing, plugins, themes).
• Exposure to Umbraco CMS (.NET based) is a plus
• Understanding of Git version control.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

NICE TO HAVE

• Familiarity with ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) in WordPress.
• Basic awareness of .NET concepts (for Umbraco CMS).
• Basic understanding of MySQL or database concepts.
• Knowledge of SEO basics (meta title, meta description, keywords).
• Knowledge of hosting environments and deployment process.
• Understanding of website performance basics.
• Experience working closely with marketing teams.
• Basic troubleshooting skills.
