Key Account Manager- E-commerce

Job Description:

Role Overview: As a Key Account Manager for Ecommerce, you will be responsible for driving the success of our key accounts through exceptional relationship management, strategic planning, and market insights. You will lead a team of account managers while collaborating closely with various departments to maximize account potential and achieve overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Planning: (Weight: 20)
  • Own and drive P&L responsibility for online channels (e.g., Amazon, Flipkart, Zepto, Blinkit, 3 P sellers etc.).
  • Develop and execute annual business plans aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Track and analyze sales trends, ROI, pricing, and promotions to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Identify and unlock new growth opportunities within existing and emerging online marketplaces.


2: Data Analytics & Portfolio management: (Weight: 15) .

  • Portfolio analytics with real time data analysis and In sighting/ and building portfolio choices alongside with category management team.
  • Track key performance metrics such as GMV, ASP, conversion rates, and category share.
  • Leverage data insights to drive decision-making on pricing, promotion, and assortment.
  • Provide monthly/ Quarterly periodic performance reports and competitor benchmarking to management
  • Ensure timely listing/ registration, pricing accuracy, and content optimization for all SKUs.
  • Partner with category and supply chain teams for new product launches and exclusive online offerings.
  • Develop financial offers for end consumers based on seasonality and market competition.




  • Key account Management: (Weight: 10)
  • Conduct joint business planning with key accounts to align on sales targets, promotions, and assortment strategy.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, margins, and visibility investments to optimize profitability.


  • Stock Planning and Coordination: (Weight: 30)
  • Plan stock levels in coordination with SCM teams to ensure daily billing and efficient inventory management.
  • Contract Management: (Weight: 5)
  • Review and sign contracts with online dealers, ensuring all agreements meet company standards and regulations.
  • Collaboration with Digital Marketing: (Weight: 5)
  • Conduct weekly meetings with the digital marketing team to review analytics, optimize digital content, and evaluate ongoing campaigns.
  • Plan and execute digital campaigns, traffic-driving activities, and brand promotions on partner platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal marketing & category teams for performance marketing, SEO, and influencer tie-ups for building brand and category performance
  • Financial Coordination: (Weight: 10)
  • Manage payment processes and reconciliation with online dealers in collaboration with the commercial team.
  • Performance Review: (Weight: 5)
  • Conduct monthly reviews with online partners to assess sales promotions and event calendars, driving continual improvement in performance.
  • Customer Service Improvement:
  • Foster discussions with the customer service team to address customer escalations and identify opportunities for service delivery improvements.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review performance, address challenges, and celebrate successes.
  • Reporting and Insights:
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on account performance, presenting key insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor client behavior, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
  • Liaise with various departments, including supply chain, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless account management.
  • Advocate for client needs within the organization to foster a customer-centric approach.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in key account management, with a strong focus on the ecommerce sector.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing high-value accounts.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with experience in team management and development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to engage with senior stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ecommerce platforms, digital marketing, and online sales strategies.
