Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and curriculum frameworks such as Montessori or other pedagogies.
- Create a warm, welcoming classroom atmosphere that promotes curiosity, independence, and positive social interactions among preschoolers.
- Manage daily classroom activities with enthusiasm, ensuring smooth transitions and maintaining a structured environment conducive to learning.
- Incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and other core subjects into daily lessons to support holistic childhood development.
- Apply behavior management techniques to foster positive behavior and address challenges with patience and consistency.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians through regular communication about children's progress, milestones, and any special needs related to early intervention or special education.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and standardized testing results to monitor growth and inform instruction.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed diligently to promote child welfare within the daycare or preschool setting.
Qualifications
- Prior classroom experience in early childhood education or preschool settings is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles, including toddler care and behavior management strategies.
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education or Montessori methods is advantageous.
- Knowledge of special education practices, early intervention strategies, and classroom management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to work with children of diverse backgrounds while demonstrating patience, creativity, and enthusiasm.
- Certification in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; relevant coursework in childhood development or daycare training is a plus.
