Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Kitchen Designer to join our team and bring innovative, functional, and stylish kitchen solutions to our clients. In this role, you will combine your passion for interior design with technical expertise to craft customized kitchen layouts that meet clients’ needs and elevate their living spaces. Your energetic approach and excellent communication skills will help you build strong relationships with customers, guiding them through the design process from concept to completion.

Duties

• Collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision, needs, and budget for kitchen remodels and renovations
• Use SketchUp, CAD, and other design software to create detailed layout designs, lighting plans, and 3D visualizations that showcase potential kitchen concepts
• Present design proposals confidently to clients, highlighting features such as lighting design, cabinetry options, and material selections
• Manage the entire sales process including inside sales activities like POS transactions, cabinet ordering, and account management
• Assist clients in selecting materials, finishes, lighting fixtures, and accessories that align with their style and functional needs
• Develop comprehensive project plans covering remodeling steps, construction timelines, and maintenance schedules
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and installation teams to ensure seamless execution of design projects
• Maintain organized records of client interactions, project details, and sales transactions using retail math principles and organizational skills
• Stay informed about the latest trends in interior design, lighting sales, high-end product offerings, and merchandising strategies to enhance customer experience
• Engage in marketing efforts by promoting new products or services through retail demos or special events to attract new clients

Skills

• Proven experience in outside sales and inside sales within the retail or remodeling industry
• Proficiency in SketchUp, CAD , and lighting design software for layout creation and visualization
• Strong negotiation skills to upsell premium products while maintaining excellent customer service standards
• Knowledge of renovation processes, construction practices, remodeling techniques, and maintenance procedures
• Expertise in high-end sales environments with a focus on luxury kitchen products and interior design solutions
• Ability to develop detailed layouts that incorporate lighting design elements for aesthetic appeal and functionality
• Excellent communication skills for presenting ideas clearly and building rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
• Organizational skills necessary for managing multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
• Retail math proficiency for accurately calculating costs, margins, and product pricing strategies
• Experience with POS systems for efficient transaction processing including cash handling and product demos
• Strong merchandising skills to showcase products effectively within the store environment or during client consultations
• Basic math skills essential for measurements, budgeting calculations, and project estimations

Pay: $50,462.78 - $60,772.38 per year
