Kitchen Chef

The Kitchen Chef is responsible for overseeing the daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, consistency, and presentation meet the company’s standards. The role involves managing kitchen staff, maintaining hygiene standards, controlling costs, and creating a positive and efficient kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and cook high-quality dishes in a timely manner.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to recipes and company standards.
  • Maintain proper stock levels and monitor food cost and waste.
  • Enforce strict hygiene and sanitation practices to comply with food safety regulations.
  • Train and motivate kitchen team members to perform at their best.
  • Collaborate with management to plan menus, specials, and new recipes.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
  • Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chef, Sous Chef, or Cook in a busy restaurant or hotel for a minimum of 5 years.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
