JOB DESCRIPTION – KITCHEN HELPER
Position: Kitchen Helper
Department: Kitchen
Reports To: Kitchen Supervisor / Head Chef
Job Summary
The Kitchen Helper is responsible for supporting kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, handling kitchen equipment, and ensuring compliance with company hygiene and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and cooks in preparing ingredients, including washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning food items.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen work areas, equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, trays, and kitchen tools promptly and efficiently.
- Receive, inspect, and properly store food supplies and kitchen inventory.
- Ensure food items are handled and stored according to food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Dispose of waste materials and maintain cleanliness of garbage disposal areas.
- Refill ingredients, condiments, and kitchen supplies as required.
- Assist in loading, unloading, and organizing stock deliveries.
- Follow all company policies, health regulations, and food safety procedures.
- Report equipment malfunctions, shortages, safety hazards, or quality concerns to the supervisor.
- Assist with opening and closing duties of the kitchen.
- Support other kitchen staff as directed by management.
- Maintain personal hygiene and wear the required uniform and protective equipment at all times.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the Kitchen Supervisor, Chef, or Management.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods and lifting moderate loads.
- Punctual, reliable, and committed to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
Pay: AED1,800.00 - AED2,200.00 per month
