Kitchen Helper

The Kitchen Helper supports the culinary team by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. This role requires efficiency, attention to hygiene, and the ability to work in a fast-paced fine dining environment.

Job Description:

• Assist chefs with basic food preparation, such as washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including workstations, storage areas, and refrigeration units
• Wash and properly store kitchen utensils, cookware, and dishes
• Dispose of kitchen waste and manage garbage collection as per hygiene and safety standards.
• Replenish kitchen supplies and ingredients as needed.
• Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations to maintain a clean working environment.
• Support chefs and kitchen staff during busy service hours by preparing ingredients and keeping workstations stocked.
• Handle kitchen equipment with care and report any maintenance issues to the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen with constant movement
• With prior experience as Kitchen Helper or Commi 3 is required
• Typically works long shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
• Lifting heavy objects (e.g., boxes of ingredients, pots, and trays weighing up to 15-20 kg).
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: AED1,000.00 - AED1,050.00 per month
