About The Opportunity

A dynamic FZE firm operating in the UAE’s fast-paced import/export and hospitality support sector, we specialize in delivering seamless backend operations for high-volume food service and catering clients across the Emirates. Our Kitchen Helper role sits at the heart of daily operations—ensuring kitchens run cleanly, efficiently, and in compliance with hygiene and safety standards—supporting both local and expat-run culinary teams across commercial and event-based setups.

Role & Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize kitchen stations before service, including sorting, washing, and storing ingredients and utensils.
• Assist chefs by chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and performing basic food prep tasks as directed.
• Maintain strict cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and storage zones per UAE food safety regulations.
• Dispose of waste properly, manage inventory of disposable items, and assist in restocking supplies as needed.
• Support kitchen operations during peak hours, including plating, dishwashing, and clearing prep areas post-service.
• Follow supervisors’ instructions accurately and communicate any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
  
  

Skills & Qualifications

• Must-Have
• Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and UAE food safety standards
• Experience in commercial kitchen environments (even entry-level)
• Ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 20kg when handling supplies
• Proficiency in following verbal instructions in English or Arabic
• Familiarity with kitchen tools: knives, peelers, blenders, steamers, fryers
• Valid UAE residence visa and eligibility to work on-site in Dubai or Sharjah (depending on placement)
• Preferred
• Previous experience in hotels, catering halls, or restaurant kitchens
• Basic food handling certification (e.g., Food Handler Permit)
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and public holidays
