Position Title: Kitchen Manager

Reports to: Sr. Director of food service
Status: Full time, exempt
Summary
This position is a vital roll in the ministry kitchen. The Kitchen Manager wakes up every day thinking about ‘the ministry of the table’ and providing nutritious meals and biblical hospitality to KARM’s guests. The manager oversees all food service operations for the kitchen at 418 N Broadway, inventory management, menu planning, food quality control, and safety and sanitation. The Kitchen Manager is a working manager who actively participates in daily production tasks as well as daily needed shifts that may require evenings and weekends.
Duties
Manager implements; and enforces all kitchen standard operating procedures (sop’s); oversees production consistency and quality of guest meals; places all orders and manages inventory through local vendors; works well with others; ensures that the kitchen conforms to legal, safety, and health specifications per Knox County Health Department.
Actively participates in kitchen processes and responsibilities; models Christian conduct and behavior to guests, staff, volunteers and community.
