Kitchen Steward

A Hotel Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in the kitchen and food service areas. They support chefs and kitchen staff by ensuring all utensils, equipment, and workspaces are clean and ready for use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas
  • Ensure proper storage of cleaned items (plates, cutlery, glassware, etc.)
  • Assist in basic food preparation tasks when required
  • Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls, and kitchen surfaces
  • Dispose of waste and manage garbage in a hygienic manner
  • Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times
  • Support kitchen and service staff during busy operations
  • Monitor and report any maintenance or equipment issues
