Knowledge Management Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Knowledge Management Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in enhancing our organization's ability to manage, share, and leverage information effectively. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of knowledge management principles, information architecture, and data management practices. You will work collaboratively with various teams to manage financial documentation, SharePoint sites, and dashboards to ensure effective collaboration and knowledge transfer.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement knowledge management strategies that align with business objectives.
• Maintain SharePoint and Teams sites.
• Develop and manage workflows, SOPs, and training materials.
• Support knowledge capture and reporting.
• Create and maintain ontologies, taxonomies, and controlled vocabularies to enhance information retrieval.
• Utilize semantic web technologies such as RDF, OWL, and SPARQL for data modeling and integration.
• Manage content development processes within content management systems like Drupal and Adobe Experience Manager.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to improve user experience (UX) and interface (UI) design.
• Analyze business requirements to inform content strategy and data management practices.
• Oversee the organization of metadata for effective records management and information governance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on knowledge sharing initiatives.
• Maintain documentation related to data structures, database management, and content strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in IT, Business, or related field.
• 3+ years of knowledge management or systems support experience.
• Experience with SharePoint, Teams, and Power BI.
• Active Secret clearance.
• Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Neo4j) and graph databases.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, and familiarity with APIs.
• Experience with web analytics tools and SEO best practices to optimize content visibility.
• Knowledge of data collection techniques, data modeling principles, and machine learning concepts is a plus.
• Familiarity with project management tools like Jira or Confluence for collaborative work environments.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets for decision-making purposes.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on copy editing and content development capabilities.

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
