Position :- Korean Cook Assistant

Location :- Abu Dhabi

Job Description :-We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Korean Cook to support our chefs in preparing authentic and high-quality Korean dishes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Korean cuisine, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of a variety of traditional and modern Korean dishes, ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards.

Responsibilities :-

• Assist the head chef in the preparation of Korean dishes such as bulgogi, bibimbap, kimchi, Korean BBQ, and other traditional meals.

• Prepare ingredients, including cutting, chopping, marinating, and seasoning, as directed by the chef.

• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including cleaning workstations and equipment.

• Follow proper food safety and hygiene standards to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

• Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report shortages to the kitchen manager.

• Assist in plating and presentation of dishes according to restaurant standards.

• Learn and develop skills in preparing authentic Korean side dishes (banchan) and sauces.

• Help manage inventory and receive kitchen deliveries.

• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the head chef or kitchen manager.

Qualifications :-

Experience: Years of experience in a professional kitchen, ideally specializing in Korean or Asian cuisine.

Skills:

Familiarity with Korean cooking techniques, ingredients, and traditional dishes.

Proficiency in basic kitchen techniques like chopping, marinating, frying, grilling, and steaming.

Interest in and enthusiasm for learning and preparing Korean dishes.

Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods and handle the physical demands of a busy kitchen.

Team Player:

Capability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with the kitchen team.
