Develop and productionize algorithms to automatically scrape, parse, and normalize domain data from publications, repositories, and vendor sites for the InDeS Tool, with resilient throttling, deduplication, and rich metadata tagging and Other duties as assigned.
40% - Non-Essential - Design, implement, and maintain robust web-scraping algorithms (scheduling, throttling, parsing, deduplication, metadata tagging) to ingest domain data for the InDeS Tool.
30% - Non-Essential - Establish data quality and compliance workflows (validation, provenance/versioning, licensing/site-policy adherence) and collaborate with domain experts to refine ontologies and support downstream analytics.
30% - Non-Essential - Build and manage the InDeS database, for fast, reliable retrieval of model-ready datasets.
Education - 1st Master's Degree

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.
BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES
No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.
100% - Sit (stationary position) for prolonged period
Standard Hours: 20
Expected Hourly Pay: Approximately $15 per hour
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
