Anticipated Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-6pm. The anticipated schedule is based on the operational needs and can change at any time, with notice.
The Clinical Anatomy Lab Assistant supports the Division of Clinical Anatomy by preparing and maintaining cadavers, anatomical specimens, and laboratory facilities used in medical school courses, outreach programs, and research training activities. The role is hands on, operational, and safety critical, requiring careful adherence to established protocols for donor handling, chemical safety, biosafety, and course preparation. The Lab Assistant works under general supervision and collaborates closely with the Anatomical Gift Program (AGP), faculty instructors, program coordinators, and students. The Lab Assistant works under general supervision from the Division Manager, AGP Lead, and faculty leads. Daily priorities may be assigned via verbal instruction, written schedules, or routine check‑ins. Work is periodically reviewed for accuracy, adherence to safety protocols, and readiness for instructional use.
The employee performs routine tasks independently once trained and must escalate unusual donor issues, chemical concerns, or facility hazards.

In some AGP operations, occasionally may pull a gurney that weighs approximately 220 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work occurs in a research laboratory environment. Depending on research, Lab Assistants may work in the vicinity of animals, chemicals, gasses or hazardous materials. Expected to follow all safety requirements and procedures, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) if required.

The expected pay range for this position is $29.54 (Step 1) to $35.71 (Step 10) per hour. Placement in the pay range is subject to the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
