Lab Courier

Precision Analytical Laboratories is seeking to fill a Lab Courier position, with analysis training when not on the road. You will work as part of a team, and over time this position will develop a high level of independence. Here you can help build a new lab, with the possibility of professional growth as the lab expands. The successful candidate will have skills in time management and multitasking.

- Duties:

• Driving for extended periods.
• Navigating to new locations.
• Load and unload small coolers, or sample containers.
• Keep detailed records, both of sample receipt and delivery and any laboratory record keeping requirements.
• Customer service for sample intake, pick up, and delivery.

- Preferred skills:

• Efficiently and accurately sample and test water, oils, and soils throughout the facility for compliance (In accordance with ASTM, State, and EPA guidelines).
• Operate and maintain lab equipment and instrumentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Receive waste and perform detailed intake procedures.
• Operate a variety of lab equipment safely and efficiently.
• Other duties as assigned.
• The laboratory is currently certified in the following methods: ASTM D7647, ISO 11500, ASTM D664, ASTM D2896, ASTM D445, ASTM D5185, ASTM D6304, ASTM D93, EPA 150.2, SM 4500 CN-E, EPA 1664A, EPA 200.7, EPA 7471A, SM 2540D, SM 5210B, EPA 245.1, EPA 625.1, EPA 608.3, EPA 6010D, EPA 200.8, EPA 6020B, EPA 9045, EPA 7196A, EPA 624.1, and EPA 180.1

- Desired Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license.
• Clean driving record.
• Pass a background check.
• Valid vehicle insurance.
• Ability to accommodate shift changes, and on-call scheduling.
• Highschool diploma, with laboratory experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Understanding water quality testing and water quality discharge regulations.
• Basic computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• Basic understanding of standard safety practices.
• Able to lift 25 to 50 lbs. routinely.
