Lab Technician (Geotechnical Laboratory)

Experience: 1–2 years in a Geotechnical Laboratory

Standard Compliance: ISO/IEC 17025

Role Overview:

The Lab Technician will perform testing and sample preparation activities in the geotechnical

laboratory, ensuring accuracy and compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 procedures.

Qualifications:

 Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.

 1–2 years of practical experience in a geotechnical or materials testing laboratory.

 Knowledge of ASTM/BS/AASHTO standards.

 Exposure to ISO/IEC 17025 processes preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

 Prepare, handle, and test soil, rock, and aggregate samples as per specified standards.

 Conduct routine tests such as moisture content, sieve analysis, specific gravity, compaction,

and CBR.

 Maintain accurate records of all laboratory results and sample logs.

 Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments.

 Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment.

 Assist the Lab Engineer and Quality team during audits and equipment verifications.

 Adhere to ISO/IEC 17025 quality and traceability requirements.
