Location: Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Experience: 1–3 years in a Geotechnical Laboratory

Standard Compliance: ISO/IEC 17025

Role Overview:

The Lab Engineer will be responsible for supervising and conducting laboratory testing of soil, rock,

aggregate, and construction materials as per international standards, ensuring compliance with

ISO/IEC 17025 quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

 Supervise and coordinate day-to-day laboratory operations for soil and material testing.

 Prepare test specimens, Conduct and validate tests such as Atterberg limits, sieve analysis,

compaction, triaxial, consolidation, CBR, and permeability tests.

 Ensure all testing procedures strictly comply with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.

 Review and verify test data, calculations, and reports before submission.

 Calibrate and maintain testing instruments as per schedule.

 Assist in maintaining quality records, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and test logs.

 Coordinate with QA/QC, project, and field teams regarding sample collection and testing

priorities.

 Support audits, proficiency tests, and method validations related to ISO 17025.

Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.

 1–3 years of hands-on experience in a geotechnical/material testing laboratory.

 Knowledge of ASTM, BS, and AASHTO testing standards.

 Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 documentation and compliance procedures.

 Strong data interpretation and reporting skills.
