Job Title: LAB TECHNICIAN / TECHNOLOGIST for Rotational Shift Duty

Job Summary:

This position is for a LAB TECHNICIAN / TECHNOLOGIST for Rotational Shift Duty to provide high-quality medical services to patients within a specified department.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Sample Preparation and Analysis:
• Collecting, preparing, and processing samples (e.g., blood, tissue, fluids).
• Performing routine tests and analyses using various laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
• Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, including microscopes, centrifuges, and other specialized instruments.
• Calibrating and troubleshooting equipment to ensure proper function.
• Maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment.
• Data Management and Reporting:
• Recording and organizing data from experiments and tests.
• Analyzing data and preparing reports, summaries, and presentations.
• Communicating results and findings to scientists, researchers, or other relevant personnel.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Following strict safety protocols and procedures when handling chemicals, biological materials, and other hazardous substances.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Maintaining a clean and safe laboratory environment.
• Stock Management:
• Ordering and stocking laboratory supplies and reagents.
• Maintaining inventory records.
• Other Duties:
• Assisting with research projects and experiments.
• Performing administrative tasks, such as maintaining lab notebooks and preparing reports.
• Providing technical support to other laboratory personnel.

Qualifications:

* Education: BS (Laboratory Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry or equivalent medical degree / Laboratory Technician Diploma from a recognized university or HEC.

* Licensure/Certification: Valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.

* Experience: Minimum 03 years of experience in relevant department.

Skills:

* Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient-centered care skills.

* Strong diagnostic and clinical judgment skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

* Excellent time management and organizational skills.

* Must have working experience of manual chemistry calculations.
