Lab Technician(Civil)

Job Summary:

The Civil Lab Technician is responsible for conducting various laboratory and field tests on construction materials such as soil, concrete, aggregates, cement, and bitumen to ensure that all materials and works conform to the required specifications, codes, and project standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine tests on soil, concrete, cement, aggregates, sand, and bitumen as per IS codes.
• Conduct slump tests, cube casting, and compressive strength tests for concrete.
• Maintain accurate records of test results and sample details.
• Ensure that all testing equipment is calibrated, clean, and in good working condition.
• Prepare and maintain daily test reports and submit to the Quality Engineer.
• Assist in preparing design mix trials and ensure compliance with approved mix design.
• Collect samples from site as instructed and transport them safely to the lab.
• Monitor the curing and testing schedule for concrete cubes and maintain the cube register.
• Report any non-conformance or material deviation immediately to the concerned engineer.
• Maintain proper documentation of all laboratory test results and calibration certificates.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and laboratory protocols.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma / ITI in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a civil construction materials testing laboratory.
• Sound knowledge of IS codes related to material testing.
• Familiarity with operation of equipment like CTM (Compression Testing Machine), Sieve Shaker, Oven, etc

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
