Labor and Employment Senior Attorney

Description: Fox Rothschild has an opening in the Minneapolis, MN and Chicago, IL offices for a Senior Attorney in our Labor and Employment Department. The ideal candidate will have at least ten (10) years of experience and will be able to advise employers and executives on all aspects of employment law, including employment advice and litigation.

Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice law in the state where the office resides.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Strong research, writing skills, and academic record required.
• Team player; collaborative approach; highly motivated.
• Large law firm experience preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.

Physical Requirements

• Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.

Visual Acuity

• Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Compensation & Benefits

• The salary range for this position applies to Minnesota and Illinois. The salary range reflects a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a position. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $260,000 - $300,000 in Minnesota and Illinois. Partner compensation may vary based upon the candidate’s business generation and other factors.
