Labor & Employment Associate

A Top 100 AM Law firm is seeking a talented and motivated mid-level Labor & Employment Associate (Class of 2019–2021) to join their dynamic team in LA. This is a full-time, partnership-track position offering the opportunity to work on sophisticated labor and employment litigation matters within a supportive, high-performing firm culture.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of labor and employment litigation, including case strategy, discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
• Communicate and negotiate effectively with opposing counsel.
• Argue motions and appear in court with confidence and professionalism.
• Draft and analyze complex legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Collaborate with partners and clients on a range of employment law issues and litigation strategy.
• Handle class actions and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) matters (strongly preferred).
• Contribute to trial preparation and execution when applicable.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 4–6 years of labor and employment litigation experience at a law firm (Class of 2019–2021).
• Strong deposition experience and ability to independently manage cases.
• Exceptional analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Big firm experience a plus.
• Class action / PAGA experience strongly preferred; trial experience preferred.
• Must be an active member of the California Bar in good standing.

Benefits

At the time of posting, the expected salary range for this position is $310,000 to $390,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as education, training, skill set, licensure, certifications, experience, internal equity, and market data.
