Laboratory Courier

Fort HealthCare is a patient-centered hospital and healthcare system serving individuals, businesses and families in Jefferson, Dane, and Walworth Counties and we are seeking a Lab Courier to join our Laboratory team.

The Lab Courier transports Laboratory specimen & materials to/from FHC Clinics and other locations as necessary for Laboratory operations.

Responsibilities of this position include:

• Inspects the courier vehicle daily before each shift to insure proper and safe operating condition.
• Arranges for the proper maintenance of the courier vehicle to ensure safe, reliable operation.
• Reports any vehicle safety concerns to a supervisor.
• Transports lab specimens, blood products, reports and supplies to/from Laboratory clinics, reference labs, or other destinations associated with Laboratory operations.
• Participates in self-scheduling to ensure consistent staffing of the courier position.
• Utilizes and accurately complies with the specimen tracking system.
• Collects operational statistics as may be required from time to time.

Requirements of this position include:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Excellent customer service skills required
• Valid Wisconsin Driver's License required
• Violation free driving record for 3 years preferred
