Summary:
The Laboratory Courier is responsible for the safe, efficient pick up of outreach specimens and paperwork. Additionally, they ensure the timely delivery of supplies and patient results to the outreach clients.

Responsibilities:

Performs courier functions for predefined routes and identified locations. Delivers lab supplies, paperwork and other items to the clients and returns specimens, requests, mail, money, and other approved items to the lab for processing.
Obeys all traffic laws, follows rules for operation of Pardee vehicles and adheres to all safety requirements for the transport of biohazardous items. Maintains a clean interior of the vehicle and alerts engineering of any maintenance or safety issues for the vehicle.
Ensures competency in all required skills and completes competency assessment annually; and other assignments as requested.
Ensures courier routes are efficient and effective. Meets the needs of the clients and forwards all concerns to the proper resource. Responds to ad hoc pick-up requests when received in a manner that best facilitates the integrity of the planned route.
Assists in filling client supply orders and ensures all items to be delivered are gathered and placed in the vehicle before leaving on route.

Valid driver’s license.
