This is a union position, pay and benefits will be based on the collective bargaining agreement.

Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to:

• Lay out all parts and fittings on job site needed for the day.
• Pipelayer/Laborer – topman and bottom (Pipelayer) to include assessing ground conditions, shoveling, digging trenches, assembling pipes, laying pipes following specifications or blueprints, packing dirt around pipe, bolting, communicating with heavy equipment operator when moving loads; jigging equipment; barring; leveling; using packer to pack dirt into place; filling trenches, drilling holes, and running tracer wire.
• Other Laborer responsibilities include guide in sheeting and other materials from Heavy Equipment Operator, shoveling/leveling, handling and setting up/break down of equipment; layout area; communicate between Heavy Equipment Operators/Crane; setting posts; laying rubber membranes; demolition; and clean-up of job site area.
• Assist with set-up of crane (2 hours to set-up). 6-7 crew members assist with set-up. Ensures boom is moved out of dolly (Oiler/Rigger), pins are unlocked from dolly to release boom, dolly is moved off to the side, outriggers are lifted and pads/cookies (4/crane) are set, crane is roped off, rigging of crane dependent on material, equipment cables are set, and crane is moved into position.
• May operate Heavy Equipment and/or drive construction vehicles and trucks. Travel includes up to a 70-mile radius to job sites.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Current OSHA Certifications preferred
• Must possess a valid driver's license, a CDL is a plus
• This is a physically demanding position and requires ability to work long hours in the outdoor elements. A post-offer functional test is required.
