Job Summary
NES Laborer – North Slope, Alaska (Prudhoe Bay)

Join Northern Energy Services (NES) on Alaska’s North Slope and become part of a hardworking, fast-paced team supporting critical field operations in Prudhoe Bay. This position is labor-intensive and focused on heavy cleaning of offices, shops, and operational facilities, along with a variety of general labor duties.

What You’ll Do

• Perform heavy cleaning of offices, shops, work areas, and common facilities
• Clean and maintain floors, walls, equipment surfaces, and high-traffic areas
• Conduct deep cleaning of industrial shop environments, including removal of grease, mud, and debris
• Dispose of trash, waste, and materials in accordance with site and environmental requirements
• Support shop upkeep and organization, ensuring workspaces remain clean and operational
• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials, tools, and equipment
• Perform general labor tasks including sweeping, shoveling, scraping, and site cleanup
• Support maintenance crews and other departments as needed
• Set up and tear down work areas, equipment, and temporary structures
• Follow all NES safety policies, SETA/JSA requirements, and Stop Work Authority
• Maintain tools and equipment in clean, safe working condition
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors

What We’re Looking For

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid Driver’s License preferred
• Strong work ethic and ability to perform physically demanding labor
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, safety-driven environment
• Willingness to work in a remote North Slope location
• Ability to travel from Anchorage to Prudhoe Bay (NES provides flight from Anchorage)
• Ability to work 12+ hour shifts on a rotational schedule
• Basic understanding of workplace safety practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous labor or industrial cleaning experience
• Experience working in oil & gas, construction, or North Slope environments
• Familiarity with shop environments and heavy equipment areas

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and work for extended periods (up to 12+ hours with breaks)
• Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, twisting, and manual labor
• Lift up to 50 lbs. independently and 80 lbs. with team assistance
• Ability to perform repetitive heavy cleaning tasks in industrial environments
• Ability to work in cold weather and Arctic conditions

Additional Information

• Point of hire: Anchorage, Alaska
• Employees are responsible for travel to Anchorage
• NES provides transportation from Anchorage to Prudhoe Bay, along with lodging, meals, and transportation on the North Slope

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
