This position is onsite.

Under close supervision, performs entry-level unskilled manual work. May perform the following tasks depending upon the assigned division: carry, load and unload materials and equipment; dig, shovel and rake grounds; clean work sites, and drains; mow lawns, weed trimming, landscaping duties, irrigation, and mowing equipment repairs; airfield movement, operate a two-way radio; performs other routine unskilled work as assigned. Must be alert to hazards and follow department safety and emergency procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Must be at least 18 years old.

2. Possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s or chauffeur’s license.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

1. May be required to provide safety shoes.

2. Must maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Performs entry-level grounds keeping duties to maintain the airport grounds.

Removes or relocates debris, trash, trees, brush, and brushes as directed.

Operates commercial lawn mower, weed trimmer and other landscaping equipment, and two-way radio.

Assists Airport Maintenance & Rescue Specialists with minor repairs such as lights, roof, vehicles, equipment and building maintenance.

ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to communicate, and to perform entry-level unskilled manual work.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in variable weather conditions, confined spaces, and areas of loud noises.

May be exposed to machinery and equipment that could affect health conditions.

May be required to travel to other locations during the course of work.
