Land Surveyor

Job Title: Land Surveyor (Surveyor 1)
Project: Mugharraq Staff Accommodation
Location: Abu Dhabi

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma (3 years) in Land Surveying or equivalent
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, with at least 4 years in an engineering consultancy
• Abu Dhabi experience is preferred

Purpose of the Role:
To establish and maintain the project control network and deliver high-accuracy setting-out and as-built survey deliverables for structural and infrastructure works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish benchmarks and control points; supervise high-precision setting-out for structural and infrastructure elements
• Validate contractor setting-out procedures and certify as-built and topographic surveys
• Manage survey instrument calibration and ensure adherence to survey QA standards
• Mentor and guide the survey team; resolve geometric discrepancies and maintain control integrity
• Maintain accurate control logs, as-built records, and survey QA documentation

Authorities:

• Approve project control network
• Suspend setting-out activities if control integrity or accuracy is compromised

Core Competencies & Skills:

• Proficiency in GNSS and total station operations
• Familiarity with CAD/GIS tools
• Strong knowledge of survey QA/QC procedures
• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills

Key Records & KPIs:

• Control network logs and calibration records
• As-built survey deliverables
• Timeliness and accuracy of submissions
• Survey QA checks and compliance reports

Reporting Line:
Reports to the Structural/Civil Engineer or Resident Engineer
