Position Overview

A Land Surveyor is responsible for measuring land, mapping boundaries, and providing data used in construction, engineering, and legal documentation. They ensure accuracy in land measurements and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct land and property surveys using tools like GPS, total stations, and leveling instruments
  • Measure distances, angles, and elevations accurately
  • Determine property boundaries and prepare boundary reports
  • Create maps, sketches, and survey reports
  • Analyze survey data and interpret legal documents (deeds, maps, titles)
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations
  • Supervise field survey teams when required
  • Maintain and calibrate survey equipment

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of surveying techniques and equipment
  • Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD or GIS tools
  • Good mathematical and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work outdoors in various conditions
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
