As our Landscape Architect, you will lead clients through the design process while developing creative, buildable landscape solutions for a variety of residential projects. You will work closely with clients, builders, architects, engineers, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered with excellence in design, quality, and execution.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement

Meet with clients to understand goals, preferences, and project objectives

Develop, present, and help sell design concepts and deliverables to clients and builders

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners
Project Management

Lead multiple projects simultaneously from design through completion

Manage timelines, priorities, budgets, and quality throughout the creative process

Coordinate with builders, architects, engineers, and vendors to keep projects moving successfully
Design & Development

Conduct site evaluations and analyze site opportunities and constraints
-
Develop creative conceptual landscape plans with strong layout, flow, and functionality

Prepare detailed construction documents and specifications, including:

Base plans
-
Grading and drainage plans
-
Planting and lighting plans
-
Site details
-
Create landscape project estimates using LMN software
-
Produce attractive, well-developed designs across a range of styles
-
Apply knowledge of horticulture, plant identification, and landscape elements such as patios, retaining walls, pools, outdoor kitchens, pergolas, lighting, and water features
Additional Contributions

Use aerial imagery, surveys, and online mapping tools to gather property information

Stay current on municipal codes, building regulations, conservation requirements, and MnDNR restrictions

Support business development efforts and help strengthen industry relationships

Participate in team meetings, internal training, and weekly scheduling discussions
What Were Looking For
Required Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience managing projects from design to completion

Bachelors degree or higher in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program
-
Professional licensure in Landscape Architecture in Minnesota is required
