Landscape - Civil Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Landscape Civil Engineer to plan, design, and oversee the civil engineering aspects of landscaping projects. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in civil engineering with knowledge of landscaping requirements to ensure outdoor spaces are structurally sound, functional, and visually appealing. This role involves close collaboration with landscape architects, contractors, and site teams to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and coordinate structural and landscape design plans in accordance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Prepare design drawings, BOQs, and technical documentation for landscape structures (e.g., retaining walls, pergolas, walkways, water features, gazebos, seating areas).
• Collaborate with architects, landscape designers, and consultants to ensure design intent is achieved.
• Conduct structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry elements related to landscape structures.
• Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with design, safety, and quality standards.
• Oversee grading, drainage, and irrigation layout related to landscape works.
• Monitor concrete works, formwork, rebar placement, and finishing operations.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and execution of works.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines and cost targets.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare progress, QA/QC, and non-conformance reports.
• Verify materials and workmanship in line with project specifications and standards (BS, ASTM, ACI, etc.).
• Implement health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures on site.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and project management teams regarding technical matters and project progress.
• Provide engineering solutions to site issues and design discrepancies.
• Participate in project meetings and prepare technical submittals and shop drawings for approval.
• Maintain detailed records of work progress, materials used, and inspection results.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Support estimation and tendering teams with cost data and technical inputs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline (Master’s degree preferred for senior roles).
• Member of Society of Engineers in UAE
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in civil engineering, with specific exposure to landscape infrastructure and structural works.
• Proven experience in structural design, detailing, and supervision of landscape-related structures.
• Experience in projects such as parks, public spaces, resorts, or mixed-use developments is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, Revit, and Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of structural design codes and standards (BS, ACI, AISC, or Eurocodes).
• Familiarity with landscape construction materials, drainage systems, and irrigation layouts.
• Competence in preparing and interpreting shop drawings and as-built documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lead site teams and manage subcontractors.
• Good understanding of project scheduling and cost control.
• Registered/Chartered Engineer status (e.g., with UAE Society of Engineers, ICE, or equivalent) is an asset.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and organizational abilities.
• Adaptability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in multi-disciplinary environments.
• Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
