Landscape Designer

Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Landscape Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing beautiful outdoor spaces and a strong understanding of landscape architecture principles. This role involves collaborating with clients to create innovative designs that enhance the aesthetics and functionality of various landscapes, including gardens, parks, and commercial properties.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive landscape designs using software tools such as Rhinoceros 3D, Revit, and CAD.
• Create detailed plans and specifications for planting, hardscape, and irrigation systems.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and budget constraints.
• Conduct site assessments to analyze environmental conditions and site characteristics.
• Prepare construction documents and assist in the construction estimating process.
• Utilize GIS and ArcView for site analysis and design development.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques to incorporate into designs.
• Work closely with contractors during the implementation phase to ensure design integrity.

Experience

• Proven experience in landscape design or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in design software including Rhinoceros 3D, Adobe Suite, CAD, GIS, and ArcView.
• Strong knowledge of horticulture, garden design principles, hardscape materials, and construction estimating.
• Ability to build relationships with clients and effectively communicate design concepts.
• A degree in Landscape Architecture or a related discipline is desirable but not mandatory.
• A portfolio showcasing previous landscape design projects is highly valued.
