Landscape Designer

Job Overview:

VanHorn Design, a premier landscape design company in the ever-growing market of Raleigh, North Carolina, is looking for a talented and creative landscape designer to add to their team. This position would be strictly designing with no project sales or estimation responsibilities. Having extensive knowledge in creating base map models, including elevation contours, in a 3-D modeling program would be very valuable when applying for this position. This applicant should be someone who pays great attention to detail and is efficient. One will have the opportunity to work on a great variety of projects and create unique designs.

Qualifications:

· Ability to create a base model of an existing site in Realtime Landscape Architect with accurate measurement of the X, Y, Z planes and elevation contours.

· Applicant should already have knowledge of or be willing to learn plant materials of Zone 7 as well as hardscape construction, lighting, drainage, carpentry, pool construction, building codes and zone restriction knowledge.

· Experience in Realtime Landscape Architect, AutoCAD, Sketch-up, and/or other rendering programs

· Capable of producing 5 master plans a month

· Talent for continuously creating unique designs

Our Team:

VanHorn Design works on landscape design projects in the Raleigh-Durham surrounding areas. We predominately, but not entirely, design residential properties. The average installation costs of our designs range from $50,000 to $500,000. We not only design plantscapes and hardscapes, but decks, pavilions, pools and screen porches are a part of our everyday design process. We are continuously building our own clientele at VanHorn Design, but frequently team-up with industry-leading landscape companies and builders in the area to provide clients with an outdoor living experience beyond their expectation.

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
