Landscape Designer and Architect

Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and creative Landscape Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in landscape architecture and design, with a passion for creating sustainable and aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces. This role involves collaborating with clients, architects, and contractors to develop innovative landscape designs that meet project specifications and enhance the environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive landscape designs using software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Conduct site assessments and land surveys to evaluate conditions and constraints for design projects.
• Create detailed plans for hardscape elements, planting designs, irrigation systems, and landscape maintenance.
• Collaborate with project management teams to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to budget constraints.
• Utilize GIS tools such as ArcGIS and ArcView for site analysis and planning.
• Prepare construction documents and specifications for bidding and construction purposes.
• Engage in sustainable design practices that promote environmental stewardship.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision and provide expert recommendations.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques related to landscaping and horticulture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in design software including Rhinoceros 3D, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Adobe Photoshop.
• Strong knowledge of horticulture, plant selection, irrigation systems, and landscape maintenance practices.
• Experience in construction estimating and understanding of civil engineering principles is a plus.
• Excellent drafting skills with experience in CAD applications.
• Strong project management abilities with attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $51,639.63 - $62,189.65 per year
