Landscape Engineer

Job Purpose

Accountable for the successful implementation of landscape designs that meet aesthetic, functional, and environmental objectives. They ensure projects are completed within budget and schedule, while adhering to quality standards and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the Landscape Engineer plays a crucial role in fostering collaboration among various stakeholders and contributing to the overall success of the project team.

Roles, Responsibilities, Duties

• Conducting site analysis and surveys to understand the topography, soil conditions, and environmental factors.
• Collaborating with architects and other professionals to integrate landscape features into overall project designs.
• Creating detailed landscape plans, including hardscape and softscape elements, irrigation systems, and sustainable design practices.
• Selecting appropriate plant species, materials, and construction methods.
• Managing and coordinating the construction process, overseeing contractors and ensuring adherence to design specifications.
• Integrating eco-friendly and sustainable practices into landscape designs, such as water conservation and native plant use.
• Addressing environmental concerns and incorporating solutions for erosion control, stormwater management, and ecological restoration.
• Staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in landscape architecture and engineering.

Occupational and workplace Health and Safety responsibilities:

In addition to all job-specific responsibilities, all employees are required to adhere to all Basatin health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, practices, and relevant legal and statutory health, safety and environmental requirements and obligations. All employees are personally responsible to familiarize themselves with these policies, procedures, practices, updates, etc. Khidmah HSE department regularly updates existing and introduce new policies, procedures, and practices and each employee is personally responsible to ensure they stay updated and compliant with all such updates and new additions.

Information Security responsibilities:

• Comply with Basatin Information Security Policies.
• Be aware of and fulfil their information security responsibilities.
• Ensure whoever handles sensitive company information have taken the Security Awareness Training.
• Know how to report a security incident (to IT ServiceDesk or InfoSec).
• Not Disable his/her OS firewall and/or Antivirus.
• Restrict use to authorized purposes, Protect access accounts, privileges and associated passwords.
• Accept accountability of his/her individual user accounts, and maintain confidentiality.

Education & Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in landscape, agriculture, civil engineering, or a related field.
