Senior Landscape EngineerJob Summary
The Senior Landscape Engineer is responsible for the overall technical and supervisory management of landscape maintenance operations, including scope development, contractor performance, documentation control, and quality assurance for all landscape packages. The role requires proven expertise in horticulture/agronomy, management of large-scale projects, and strong coordination with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Key ResponsibilitiesI. Technical, Operational Management, and Documentation
- Perform landscape operation design review.
- Responsible for landscape maintenance scope development and scope management for all landscape packages.
- Work with Service Providers to define workable landscape solutions required for maintenance and operation.
- Conduct periodic inspections to ensure landscape works comply with contract specifications.
- Able to coordinate and monitor all disciplines of landscape works related to all FM Contracts.
- Review and/or prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other landscape documents as necessary.
- Responsible for reviewing and updating as-built drawings of all landscape-related matters.
- Prepare periodic special reports summarizing landscape issues related to maintenance activities for review and approval.
- Able to monitor progress of Works and carry out updating, planning and preparing progress reports as required.
- Responsible for managing the landscape Service Providers performance and adherence to budget and schedule.
- Must be capable of managing a program of integrated landscape works with multiple stakeholders and project partners.
- Able to control Service Providers and Sub Service Providers in conformance with contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
- This includes possessing working knowledge with local and international specifications.
- Responsible for following up on instructions and commitments associated with the landscape maintenance activities.
- This includes both management of the site supervision team as well as the Service Providers and Sub Service Providers.
- Assist in preparing RFPs for Service Providers regarding all landscape packages.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Degree in Agriculture, preferably with a major in Horticulture/Agronomy, from an accredited university.
- Experience: Minimum eight (8) years’ experience in landscape maintenance of large projects.
- Must have a high concentration in facilities management.
- At least three (3) years working in the Arabian Gulf Region.
- Alternative: Similar technical qualifications along with similar substantial work experience will be taken into consideration.
