Landscape Supervisor (1 Month project)

We are hiring a Landscape Supervisor for a short-term project in Qatar. The ideal candidate will oversee and inspect soft landscape maintenance, irrigation systems, and associated facilities, ensure adherence to project specifications, implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans, coordinate with contractors, maintain accurate records, and prepare progress reports. Candidates should hold a diploma in agriculture or horticulture and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in soft landscape maintenance or construction projects.

Nature and Scope of Position / Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections of all soft landscape areas, irrigation networks, sports facilities, and related activities, and prepare snag reports.
• Demonstrate knowledge in soft landscape maintenance activities such as grass cutting/mowing, turf care, flower planting, weeding, edge trimming, mulching, fertilizing, pruning, soil preparation, irrigation, spraying pesticides/insecticides, plant debris removal, and equipment maintenance.
• Inspect maintenance work and projects to ensure compliance with project specifications, contract documents, and approved procedures.
• Supervise and ensure execution of the approved preventive maintenance plan.
• Oversee corrective maintenance requests/complaints and ensure timely resolution.
• Monitor workers to detect inefficient or unsafe work practices and take corrective action as needed.
• Coordinate with other landscape contractors to schedule tasks, monitor progress, and address any issues promptly.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, preventive maintenance tasks, and complaints received through QU representatives.
• Prepare reports on maintenance work, including progress, backlogs, service levels, trends, and recommendations, and discuss these with the Head of Civil & Projects Section.
• Ensure safe use, cleanliness, and general upkeep of landscape areas, vehicles, and equipment.
• Adhere to QU’s safety and security guidelines and assist in reporting any incidents as required.
• Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Operations & Maintenance Engineers of QU.

Experience and Education:

• Diploma in Agriculture or any related field in horticulture, agronomy, plant protection, or irrigation (minimum 2 years academic + 1-year in-plant training preferred) from a recognized university or college.
• At least 5 years of experience in soft landscape maintenance or construction projects within universities or construction/maintenance organizations.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, internet browsing, data transfer, and report preparation with proper formatting.

Pay: QAR4,000.00 per month
