Position Description | Seasonal Gardener (March–November, 1099 Contractor)
We’re seeking a capable, hands-on gardener who brings both skill and initiative to the landscape. The core of this role is fine garden maintenance, complemented by seasonal work such as bulb planting and winter watering of trees and shrubs.
This is a position for someone who notices details—who can distinguish a desirable seedling from a weed (and knows most of the usual suspects in Colorado), and who takes quiet pride in keeping a garden at its best. A steady work ethic, good judgment, and a willingness to meet Colorado’s ever-changing weather head-on will serve you well here.

Who We Welcome
We encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, including parents returning to the workforce, veterans and transitioning service members, students, and anyone drawn to meaningful outdoor work. Larkspur Landscaping is committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful workplace for people of all races, genders, and identities.
Our Vision
Larkspur exists to cultivate landscapes that feel both intentional and alive—thoughtfully designed, carefully curated, and attuned to the rhythms of the natural world. We value beauty as much as function, creating spaces that invite connection while quietly supporting the health of the environments they inhabit. Through ongoing education and attentive stewardship, we believe in the lasting impact of gardens that are tended with both care and curiosity.
Our Values
Always Learning, Always Sharing - We don’t claim to “know it all” about every plant and flower under the sun, but we can promise that we’ll do the research to make sure you get exactly what you’re looking for. Whether you’re searching for a specific vibe, or looking for the most current sustainable gardening practices, we’ll always be 100% transparent with you about your options. If we learn something new, even after the job is done, we’ll circle back and share it with you.
Get in the dirt - We’re serious about getting our hands dirty, and we do it all. Don’t be surprised -- we lift the heavy sh*t, we dig the trenches, we don’t subscribe to social norms about what women can and can’t do.
Respect for you, respect for your plants - Whether we’re doing a new installation or a maintenance project, we’ll treat you and your existing landscape with respect, always. We know the difference between weeds and flowers and we’ll make sure we keep the good stuff and get rid of the bad stuff.
Build Relationships - Our experience stands out because it’s truly collaborative. We involve you in the process to ensure you’re psyched about the new life we’re bringing into your space.
Let life in - We want to help you let more life in -- to your space and environments and into your life.
